Renaissance Update

After a successful decade of strong partnership, Neuberger Berman (“Neuberger”) and Renaissance Partners (“RP”) announced in April 2024 they had entered into an agreement in which Neuberger will transition from being a majority owner in the Italian private equity businesses of Renaissance, Aurora and Atlante (collectively, “Renaissance”) to a minority owner. The announced transaction completes on April 1st 2025.

We believe Neuberger’s successful partnership will continue to build with Renaissance. In collaboration with the broader Neuberger platform, Renaissance has established itself as one of the most respected private equity businesses in Italy, managing over $3.5 billion of assets and generating strong returns for their investors. Going forward, while the respective investment teams will continue to operate independently, Anthony Tutrone, Global Head of Neuberger Alternatives, and David Stonberg, Deputy Head of Neuberger Alternatives and Global Co-Head of Co-investments, will remain on the Renaissance Investment Committee. Further, Renaissance is expected to continue to be able to leverage the broader Neuberger platform, while Neuberger will be able to partner with Renaissance to continue to expand its investment activities and client relationships in Italy.  

The existing Managing Directors of Renaissance: Marco De Simoni, Alessio Masiero, Giovanni Camisassi, Luca Deantoni, Tommaso De Bustis and Emanuele Vignoli, under the leadership of Fabio Canè, will lead the newly independent organization. This change will position Renaissance to further grow and develop the team, increase the investor base and strengthen their presence in the market.

Going forward, the following will be changing:

• Client Portal: The Renaissance team will continue to use Investment Café as its investor portal, but separate to Neuberger. As such, you will be receiving a link with a password set-up in due course. Please note, if you hold Neuberger investments you can continue to access them via https://www.nb.com/LPdocs
• Investor Relations Contact: Nevena Batchvarova - Head of RP Investor Relations can be reached at nevena.batchvarova@rpalt.com. Once the close has occurred, there will be a dedicated Renaissance Investor Services team, who will be able to assist with any further queries on Renaissance. Our Neuberger Private Markets Investor Relations team will also continue to be available to assist during the transition period.
