Caitlin McSherry is a Managing Director and Global Head of Stewardship at Neuberger Berman. In this capacity, she leads the firm’s work on issuer engagement and corporate governance across the investment platform, oversees the firm’s proxy voting guidelines, and provides thought leadership on active ownership, corporate governance and financially material environmental and social topics. She is also responsible for public markets sustainable investing strategy in the Americas. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman in 2020, she was a Vice President on the Asset Stewardship team at State Street Global Advisors where she was responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s proxy voting guidelines and led engagements with management and board members. Previously, Caitlin worked in the energy sector where she managed the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects and crafted environmental liability risk management strategies. Caitlin earned a BA in Environmental Studies from Northeastern University and an MA in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the Harvard Extension School. Caitlin holds the SASB FSA credential.
