London, 5 June 2019 — Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, announced that it has appointed Jose Cosio to lead intermediary client coverage across EMEA and LatAm. Mr. Cosio reports to Dik van Lomwel, who heads the region.
Mr. Cosio joins from Alliance Bernstein, where he spent nine years in various senior business development roles, including most recently as Managing Director of Global Intermediaries for UK, MENA & Southern Europe. He brings 18 years’ experience working in financial services and has held roles at Wachovia Securities and Old Mutual Bermuda. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Computer Information Systems from Tulane University in the US.
Dik van Lomwel, Head of EMEA and LatAm, commented, “We welcome Jose’s experience and leadership as we continue to deepen the dialogue with our partners at global and regional financial institutions.
“Working closely with clients is at the heart of our business and has resulted in us opening 12 local offices across EMEA and LatAm over the last 10 years, while our UCITS platform has grown to nearly 50 funds across traditional and alternative asset classes from fewer than 10 funds in the same time period with total assets under management in the region growing from $3B to $44B. Jose will add real impetus to this growth trajectory.”
Jose Cosio said, “Neuberger Berman is well known for its close long term client partnerships through which it provides a wide variety of innovative investment solutions across liquid and illiquid markets. I look forward to joining the team and working with both new and existing clients.”
