Neuberger Berman Launches Tactical Macro UCITS Fund

London, July 19, 2023 – Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, has launched the Neuberger Berman Tactical Macro UCITS Fund.

Portfolio manager Robert Surgent, an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, will manage the fund and is based in New York. Surgent is also a member of Neuberger Berman’s Asset Allocation Committee providing a tactical macro perspective for the multi asset group.

Surgent will be supported by twelve others within a highly experienced investment team comprising of chief investment officers, research analysts, traders and portfolio specialists.

With global collaboration leveraging the insights of Neuberger Berman’s portfolio managers and asset class specialists, the portfolio seeks to achieve positive returns regardless of the market environment by identifying market pricing imbalances across a broad range of asset classes, markets and regions in a highly risk-managed framework.

Robert Surgent comments: “Recently, the macro investment environment has been characterized by higher inflation, more volatile rates, and shifting correlations between public equities and bonds. With the launch of this UCITS fund, we can offer investors a strategy that is uncorrelated to traditional asset classes, truly multi-asset and is tactical in views, implementation and risk management.”

José Cosio, head of global intermediary (ex US) at Neuberger Berman, says: “Portfolio diversification is crucial to weather market turbulence. With this in mind, we are pleased to offer clients a unique multi-asset macro process that captures short-term dislocating catalyst events, more outward-looking thematic events and diversifiers.”

Investing in the fund is subject to risk, including market, liquidity, derivatives, interest rate, credit, counterparty, operational and currency risk.

For full information on the risks please refer to the fund prospectus and offering documents, including the KID or KIID, as applicable.
